VR Porn On An Oculus Go – Review, How-to, Thoughts

So, a while back I wrote up how to VR porn on a Gear VR. That was necessary because…I’m not going to say it’s complicated…but, there’s a bit to it…

Particularly with…never mind…there’s just a bit to it and places where you can get confused…or, just not get the best experience (especially when considering the player…I still prefer DEO VR.)

Now, as far as the Oculus Go and virtual porn…there’s not as much to say because setting it up is pretty straight forward. But, I’m going to add a numbered list of things that could help you.

First things first: Get a Go and plug it in

1. Number one on the list is get the 64 GB version. Period. I don’t care about how you can stream from here or there or whatever. You want to have the most actual physical local space as possible. Period. Do not save the fifty bucks or whatever. This isn’t the time to save a couple bucks.

So, this is what the Oculus Go looks like…an attractive little fella!

Now, I’m aware of how you can stream in various ways etc. I don’t care. I always want the most space on the device. When I pick up the Quest, it will be the 128 GB version.

2. When you open the Oculus Go box…just attach the cable and plug the thing into the wall for an hour. Let the gizmo get a good charge in it.

Setting up the Oculus Go for VR porn?

3. You set-up the Oculus Go using your Android phone or iPhone. Android must be running 6.0 Marshmallow or higher. iPhone’s gotta be at least iOS 10.

4. Note: for regular day-to-day use of the Go, you 100% don’t need to have any phone available. But, you do need the phone for initial set-up. Why? I don’t fucking know, man. That’s just the way the thing is designed.

5. Now, I’d  hold your horny hand and walk you through the steps, but there’s really not a whole lot of walking to do…

Basically, you download the Oculus app to your Android (Google Play) or iPhone (App store).

Check Wifi and Bluetooth!

Make sure your phone’s Wifi and Bluetooth are turned on. Click open the Oculus app on your phone. Sign into your Oculus account or create one if you ain’t signed up yet. The Oculus app will have a bunch of devices listed: Gear VR, Oculus Quest, Oculus Go, etc.

So, tap the Oculus Go option. And, the app will basically walk you through everything, and it couldn’t be much easier.

You’ll have to enter your Wifi password into the app: so have that handy. Basically, the actual headset is getting connected to your Wifi network. If your network is using something called captive portals—whatever the fuck that is—it won’t work for the initial set-up.

And, it walks you through pairing the Oculus Go controller. Basically, the app just step-by-step tells you what the hell to do, man! I’m not trying to avoid writing it up. It’s just that the thing tells you what to do.

Gear VR vs. Oculus Go…thoughts

6. So, if you have been using a Gear VR for a while…what differences will you experience?

Well, here’s the thing…I don’t care about stats and specs that get listed on boxes.

This is what the back of the Oculus Go box looks like.
It lets you know that the Oculus Go is ready to VR porn when you are!

The porn experience with an Oculus Go?

I don’t care about what numbers they give me. I go based upon the experience my eyeballs have with the screen.

So, I can make a comparison between a Gear VR (two versions of it) vs. the Oculus Go.

Cool trigger controllers

And, the first and most noteworthy difference is how the Oculus Go includes the cool controller with the trigger. And, the way that when you move the controller in front of you its movement is visible on the Oculus Go’s screen. So, in other words, if you wave your hand around in front of you, on the Oculus Go screen you can see that you’re waving your hand around. Maybe the Gear VR works this way also. If so, I never figured it out…

And, you can see on-screen a sorta laser pointing from the controller. And, you aim the laser at the video software’s buttons. Great stuff.

What VR video player with the Oculus Go?

7. By the way, I downloaded the free Skybox player from the Oculus store. It seems to work well so far. I like some of the settings options: brightness, saturation, contrast, etc. It seems like a lot of care went into the software’s design.

8. The optical difference between the two gizmos isn’t earth-shattering.

And, as mentioned, I’m not going by specs. I don’t give a fuck about specs! Specs can be misleading! I’m telling you the truth: I do not fucking trust specs, man!

Trust your eyes!

And, my eyes get a better visual experience from the Oculus Go. Like I said, not a big difference. But, the Oculus FOV feels a bit bigger to me. The framing is a little different. Like the Go’s frame encompasses a tiny bit more. That’s how it seems to me. And, the clarity is better. The overall experience is just a bit better. I’m using the word bit too Goddamn much, but I never said I was Goddamn Ernie Hemingway, man!

I’m glad that I have a Go now.

The Oculus Go box and packaging

9. For what it’s worth, the packaging and box of this gizmo are first-rate. And, it includes the fancy remote control, battery, USB/charging cable, cleaning cloth, doo-hickey piece that you attach to the headset if you wear glasses, and the little rope you can attach to the controller.

10. If you’re brand new to this VR stuff, and you’re looking to get your VR porn on…honestly, I’d say your best first move is joining VRporndotcom and downloading stuff from all the various studios and having a look with your own eyeballs to see what agrees with you in respect to content and quality.

Also see: MilfVR, WankzVR ($9.95/month special) and CzechVR. So, you’ll 100% want to click over and give those studios strong consideration.

First, of course, buy yourself an Oculus Go. I’ve been doing this VR porn reviewing stuff since 2015, and I’m telling you this gizmo is worth the ticket price.
